ABSTRACT

I was brought up by an artist, which influenced me to begin painting at the age of fifteen, mostly because I wanted to be exactly like him. Soon, it became the main tool for my self-expression, as I realised I can paint my feelings onto a canvas. Some of my early abstract paintings I’m not too keen on, but hold them dearĀ as an insight into my teenage state of mind, which consisted of darker colours. The following mixed media paintings burstĀ out of me in a matter of a day after a ten-year painting break and helped me express all the wonderful colours and shimmers that have set camp in my mind recently, and it looks like they’re not going to stop coming out anytime soon.
